(Shenyang) Recently, BMW Brilliance and Maple Leaf Car Rental held a grand car handover ceremony in Shenyang. More than 1,000 units BMW models, including all-new BMW i3, will be delivered and distributed to Maple Leaf's service network throughout the country to meet the customers’ travel needs in multiple scenarios, such as business trips and family trips. In addition, with confidence in the premium mobility market’s developing potentials, BMW Brilliance and Maple Leaf have reached further cooperation intentions of 20,000 units in the next three years, and are committed to bringing emotional, customized, and high-quality mobility experiences to Chinese customers.

All-new BMW i3 is produced at Plant Lydia. The new plant will be officially opening on June 23, showcasing for the BMW iFACTORY principles of LEAN. GREEN. and DIGITAL. All-new BMW i3 is being distributed to Maple Leaf’s national network, bringing BMW's all electric driving pleasure to more Chinese consumers, and leading a new trend of low-carbon e-mobility in China.
All-new BMW i3 was highly recognized by Maple Leaf right after its launch. Thank for i3’s strong product competitiveness, the vehicle attracted Maple Leaf to be one of the first to purchase and put it onto the market. As a model tailor-made for the Chinese market, all-new BMW i3 integrates the sporting essence of the BMW 3 Series and the innovative, pioneering spirit of BMW i Brand. All-new BMW i3 has not only trailblazed the segment of all-electric mid-sized premium sports sedan, but also set a benchmark for the market segment with as many as 20 high-value standard configuration. It is a clear proof of the BMW Group’s dedication to the “At home in China” approach—attaching great importance to the customer expectations in China, responding quickly to local market changes and synchronizing with China’s development.
All-new BMW i3 delivers pure driving pleasure to E-mobility with superior handling and electric performance. The new model uses the fifth generation of BMW eDrive technology with electrically excited synchronous motor. It can achieve a maximum output of 210kW and peak torque of 400N·m, and a 0-100km/h acceleration within 6.2 seconds through a single electric motor. Under CLTC standard, the driving range is as long as 526 km. Customers can fully enjoy either their business trips or leisure trips. All-new BMW i3 also features all-new BMW iDrive 8.0 system with abundant digital applications integrated. Customers will have high-quality mobility with more intelligent experiences.
All-new BMW i3 has achieved sustainable development throughout its all value chain, from the supply chain to its production and usage. It fully demonstrates the exemplary nature and responsibility of premium electric vehicles in the new era. Plant Lydia is the only plant that produces all-new BMW i3. With a total investment of 15 billion RMB, the new plant is the largest single investment of BMW Group in China. It proves the group ‘s long-term confidence and commitment to China. Plant Lydia also sets a new benchmark for automobile manufacturing with “Lean, Green, Digital", the principles of BMW iFACTORY. The plant demonstrates BMW Group's direction towards electrification, and further strengthens the group‘s leadership in manufacturing.
