2019 BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education Program Ends in Quanzhou

Sep 21, 2019

Quanzhou: Following the program’s kickoff in Shenyang, Suzhou, Wenzhou and Xi’an, the 2019 BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education (CTSE) project launches in Quanzhou today. The pop-up store is open to the general public for free at Quanzhou Puxi Wanda Plaza on September 21st and 22nd. With its inventive design, unique educational approach and interactive activities, the pop-up store brings local parents and children on a fascinating traffic safety education tour. Quanzhou is the last stop of 2019 BMW CTSE, successfully wrapping up the five-month pop-up event that has attracted nearly 5,000 parents and children, and influenced more than 550,000 people.

The pop-up store is launched at Quanzhou Puxi Wanda Plaza this morning with a new module, AN’AN Dubbing, where children and parents can learn traffic safety knowledge through dubbing traffic safety cartoon AnAn’s Story. At the same time, the online dubbing campaign has garnered the views and participation of nearly 200,000 parents and children, creating a nationwide craze for learning about traffic safety. In addition, classic modules such as “AnAn Classroom” and “AnAn Driving School” are also part of the pop-up event to promote children’s traffic safety through multiple teaching methods including immersion and VR technology.

To draw attention to traffic safety, Quanzhou has in recent years carried out a series of activities surrounding civilized traffic safety to expand socialization of traffic safety promotion and improve driving etiquette. As a leading advocacy program in the auto industry, 2019 BMW Children's Traffic Safety Education takes full advantage of its strengths, launching the "BMW Good Driver" civilized traffic initiative for the third year in a row.

For 15 years, BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education has been addressing social issues and committed to continuous exploration and innovation, growing from small-scale solo activities to large-scale roadshows, and developing to engage with local communities to promote traffic safety knowledge.

As the longest-running children’s road safety education CSR program in China, the development of BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education in the last 15 years exemplifies BMW’s long-term commitment to the Chinese society. The program has established a brand-new society-based education system to fill in the gap of traffic safety knowledge in school and at home. The program has been ongoing for 15 years with footprints across 69 cities in 20 provinces, benefiting and influencing more than 100 million people. In addition, the "BMW Good Driver" civilized traffic initiative has successfully engaged more than 32 million people through online and offline channels, garnering enthusiastic social response and fostering a harmonious traffic environment.
