2018 BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education Program Kicks Off in Yinchuan

June 27, 2018

Yinchuan: 2018 BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education (CTSE) lands in Yinchuan today following the program’s kickoff in Beijing and Qingdao. For the first time in its 14-year history, this program landed in this historic city. Over the next five days, BMW CTSE will bring local parents and children on a magical traffic safety education journey.

Last year, the Traffic Police Detachment of Yinchuan Public Security Bureau launched an initiative themed “Courtesy at Crossings for Civilized Travel” to enhance drivers’ traffic safety awareness. As the leading traffic safety education public advocacy program in the auto industry, BMW CTSE, in response to the “China Good Driver” program initiated by the Public Security Ministry’s Traffic Management Bureau, launched the “BMW Good Driver” civilized traffic initiative last year. The campaign has so far engaged over 11 million people in online and offline activities, successfully drawing the society’s attention to the issue of traffic safety. The 2018 BMW CTSE program will continue to develop the “BMW Good Driver” civilized traffic initiative, further engaging dealers, car owners, associates and other stakeholders through a series of online and offline activities to expand the campaign’s impact and foster a civilized traffic environment nationwide.

Mr. Li Linjie, a representative of Traffic Police Detachment, Yinchuan Public Security Bureau, said: “Last year, BMW launched the “BMW Good Driver” civilized traffic initiative. Engaging national BMW dealers, car owners, and associates to promote civilized traffic, the program elicited favorable responses in our society. BMW’s efforts show not only its corporate social responsibility and take on giving back to the people, but also the company’s resolution to take root in Chinese society. Today, BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education lands in Yinchuan Traffic Safety Education Base. This is a very meaningful act, and I’d like to call on all of you to join hands with us to promote the traffic safety of Yinchuan.”

The 2018 BMW CTSE’s roadshow in Yinchuan is greatly supported by the Traffic Police Detachment of Yinchuan Public Security Bureau. The roadshow has settled down in Yinchuan Traffic Safety Education Base, which is the largest traffic safety education base in northwest China. The camp fully leverages CTSE’s innovative modules, and also Base’s acousto-optics and virtual reality technology, to deliver traffic safety knowledge to parents and children in a way that makes the whole experience fun, interactive, practical and operable.

In addition, the 2018 BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education also pays close attention to children’s traffic safety education in schools. Guided by the Ministry of Public Security, the 2018 BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education, joining hands with China Children’s Press and Publication Group, has launched BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Ambassador in school. The program will widely engage BMW dealers, car owners and associates to be volunteer “ambassadors” to deliver children’s traffic safety education nationwide in a more scientific and standardized approach. In addition, the China Charity Federation BMW Warm Heart Fund will also donate 900 sets of “BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education – the Magic Suitcase of Safety Education” to nearly 200 schools across the country to promote children’s traffic safety education in China.
