(November 2, 2009 Beijing) Starting from November 3, 2009, BMW Brilliance will proactively recall 1582 units BMW 5 Series LWB including BMW 520Li and BMW 530Li, which are manufactured during the period from July 13, 2009 to August 31, 2009.

Through the regular production quality investigation, BMW Brilliance found out that the brake master cylinder of part of the recalled vehicles might lead to the destruction of a sealing ring. The reduced sealing function within the brake master cylinder might lead to sink the brake pedal at low brake force and consequently lead to a slight reduced brake power.

BMW authorized dealerships will contact all the affected customers to arrange the technical check and repair if necessary at no costs for customers.
