(Beijing) On December 8, 2008, BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd together with BMW (China) Automotive Trading Ltd. introduces the new BMW 3 Series at the renowned Water Cube in the Beijing Olympic Green Park, which is at the same pace with the international markets and further enhances BMW brand's leadership in this fast-growing premium sporty sedan segment.
The BMW 3 Series who has founded and led the premium sporty sedan segment for 33 years is a convincing champion, winning numerous "best car" titles and the best-seller across all premium brands, all body types and all classes. The new BMW 3 Series inherited the glories and raised the benchmark of sporty sedan to a new level, through all-round enhancement from design, interior and driving performance.
The Water Cube, a place which has witnessed the birth of legendary sporty gold medalists, becomes the best stage for the new BMW 3 Series. At the launch, the champion in sporty sedans, the new BMW 3 Series is warmly welcomed by the top athletes, including Olympic champions including Guo Jingjing in diving, Wang Nan in table tennis, Chen Yibing in gym, Zhong Man in fencing, Xiao Qin in gym and Wang Hao in table tennis.

Three variants of the new BMW 3 Series are launched in the Chinese market, including the BMW 320i luxury, the BMW 325i luxury and the BMW 335i, with the market price of RMB 375,000, RMB 442,000 and RMB 613,000 respectively. The BMW 320i luxury and the BMW 325i luxury will be manufactured in Plant Shenyang of BMW Brilliance, and the BMW 335i will be imported to satisfy market demands.
The New BMW 3 Series— Higher, Faster and Stronger
The New BMW 3 Series is more highly equipped and offers higher product substance. The premium materials and the optimized ergonomics have enhanced the interior of the new BMW 3 Series. The latest BMW iDrive is available in the new BMW 3 Series. With the BMW's driver-oriented concept, 7 new favorite buttons near the central control unit enable the intuitive operation of the driver, who can adjust and control the related information without influence to driving. In addition, the innovative iDrive also provide an 80 GB hard disc, in which around 13 GB is available for music files, with the capacity equal to about 150 audio CDs. The new BMW 3 Series is also equipped with 8.8-inch Control Display featuring the latest display technology and crystal-clear resolution. The displaying effect is enhancing visibly.
The new BMW 3 Series is Faster, and more dynamic. In its class, with the outstanding aerodynamics, the Drag Coefficient of BMW 320i is as low as 0.26, setting the new benchmark for the class. The world's first Twin-Turbo 6 cylinder (High Precision Injection) with aluminum crankcase awarded the Engine of 2008 is for the first time applied in the BMW 335i, making the 0-100km acceleration within 5.8 seconds. "Faster" is not at the cost of more fuel consumption. Under the EU standard, the fuel consumption of the BMW 335i is 9.6L/100km, and creates a new standard for its competitors.
The New BMW 3 Series is stronger in comprehensive strength. In design, through the unique innovation to the front, side and rear of the body, the new BMW 3 Series looks more dynamic than ever. On safety configurations, the latest DSC comes as the standard equipment. It enhances the stability when swerving. The car is applied with 6 airbags, 3-point-seatbelt and headrest. The active head restraints for the front seat become the standard equipment as well to effectively reduce the danger of collision from the rear to the driver.
