New Highlight of BMW After Sales Service - Green, Excellent, and Safe - Waterborne Color Technology

(Beijing) Continuously improving the content and quality of after sales service is a long-term commitment of BMW to the Chinese customers. To realize this commitment in detail, BMW has recently upgraded the technology and updated the painting equipment in after sales service. The paint material named WBC (Waterborne Color) has the same quality as the original European paint. It has many advantages including being environmental friendly, excellent covering ability, and storage safety.

Currently, BMW began the usage of WBC in 4 authorized dealerships in Beijing, and plans to promote this service to dealerships nationwide. BMW has become the first premium automaker to apply this technology to after sales service. This measure has at the same time conformed to the Chinese government's policy for control of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC).

WBC is a paint material that mainly applies water as a solvent. Compared to traditional paint, it has advantages in environmental protection, covering ability and storage safety. Its advantage is exceptionally profound in environmental protection – VOC given out during the paint materials drying is 72% less than that of the traditional paint. This greatly reduces the pollution to the air. WBC pigments are laid orderly and averagely after reaction. Therefore it has excellent brightness, covering ability and stickiness. In addition, with the water as solvent, WBC is not inflammable and explosive, making it safer in storage and transportation.
