Five Years' Robust Growth, Drive to Future - Celebrate BMW Brilliance 5th Anniversary 2 years within 100,000KM free maintenance for new cars from April 12 to June 30 in 2008

(Beijing) As a young joint venture, BMW Brilliance has reached its 5th anniversary this year. Since its establishment in 2003, BMW Brilliance has been committed to providing high quality products and service to Chinese customers, as well as carrying out its responsibilities as an excellent corporate citizen. In these five years, BMW Brilliance has achieved great successes in various aspects, and has developed to be a highly efficient and flexible premium auto manufacturer. To welcome its 5th anniversary, BMW Brilliance will launch service package to reward customers who have supported the BMW brand and products all the way. From April 12 to June 30 in 2008, customers who purchase BMW Brilliance products will enjoy the free maintenance service for 2 years and within 100,000KM.

Breakthrough and innovation: introduce new models annually

Within just five years, BMW Brilliance is able to offer 2 series with 15 different variants on the Chinese market. Only a premium automobile manufacturer with highly efficient and flexible production can promise and accomplish all this: the fourth generation BMW 3 Series and the fifth generation BMW 5 Series were respectively introduced in October and November 2003; the fifth generation BMW 3 Series was launched in September 2005; the BMW 5 Series Li specially developed and designed for the Chinese market and customers was launched in October 2006, and in 2007 the update BMW 5 Series Li was launched in Beijing. BMW Brilliance has always been committed to introducing BMW Group's most advanced products and technology into the Chinese market in time, and has helped promote the development of China's premium auto segment while achieving great successes.

Being customer-oriented and perfecting aftersales service

At the same time of introducing new products, improving after-sales service and enhancing customer satisfaction has also been a long-term strategic priority for BMW Brilliance. The BMW China Training Academy established in 2006, and the Shanghai Training Center planned to begin operation at the end of 2008 are the strong backbone for providing high quality service meting BMW's global standards to Chinese customers. The Parts Distribution Centers opened respectively in January and November 2007 in Beijing and Shanghai have established a highly flexible logistics network covering Southern, Central and Northern China, ensuring a fast reaction to dealership and customer demands. The introduction of the Customer Interaction Center and Roadside Assistance has provided more delicate BMW care. Currently there are 90 BMW authorized dealerships nationwide, covering most provincial capitals, and entering second and third tier cities, offering service of the same high quality as BMW's products.

Steadily pushing forward local production and realizing long-term commitment to the Chinese market

Since its establishment, BMW Brilliance has steadily pushed forward local production. In line with BMW Group's global quality standard, BMW Brilliance has maintained wide cooperation with Chinese suppliers. Up to 2007, BMW Brilliance has more than 100 local parts suppliers. Local purchasing has increased 80% from the year before to RMB 3.6 billion. It is planned to increase the local parts suppliers to 150 with the local purchasing reaching RMB4.4 billion in 2008. Through 3 shifts work module and production procedure streamlining, the capacity of Shenyang Plant has increased to 41,000 units from the original 30,000 units, which satisfies the fast-growing market demand.

The robust growth of BMW Brilliance has also helped the prosperity of the local economy. From 2003 to 2006, BMW Brilliance has consecutively been selected as a Top Taxpaying Enterprise by Shenyang and Liaoning Province. The young, high quality and motivated associates in BMW Brilliance make sure each product that reaches the quality standard of BMW Group worldwide. According to BMW's quality audit of its BMW-brand production plants in 2004, the Shenyang plant consistently meets BMW's high standards, specifically in regard to the production process, quality control and advanced technology systems. In May 2004, December 2006 and December 2007, Plant Shenyang obtained the certificates of ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environment management, and OHSAS18001 occupational health and safety management systems certification respectively.

"We develop ourselves the way we make cars" is the precise description of BMW Brilliance employees. Currently, BBA has 3,500 associates, with an average age of 27. More than 70% of the associates have obtained a college degree. This lively, skilled, highly effective and flexible team lays the solid foundation for BMW Brilliance to continue its success.

"You only reap what you sow." BMW Brilliance's long-term commitment to the Chinese market has finally received returns. In 2007, BMW Brilliance delivered 30,600 BMW 3 Series and BMW 5 Series to customers, up 35.7% from the previous year. In the first quarter of 2008, BMW Brilliance's sales volume continued to grow quickly, delivering 8,035 vehicles to customers, up 20.4% from the previous year.

While continuing to achieve market success, BMW Brilliance has also actively initiated a series of events for educational support, environmental protection, cultural promotion, corporate governance and customer social contribution. To welcome its 5th anniversary, BMW Brilliance provides the Service Package Coverage to customers who purchase a locally produced BMW 3 Series or BMW 5 Series in BMW authorized dealerships between April 12 and June 30, 2008. Within two years of purchase, the customer will be enabled to enjoy free car maintenance after the warranty date (date of delivery) and until a mileage of 100,000 km (whichever reached first applies) by any BMW authorized dealers. This will not only significantly lower the cost of car maintenance, but also ensure the car's driving performance and safety with regular checks and parts update. This activity will be available at 90 BMW authorized dealerships and service outlets nationwide.
