(Shanghai.) Today, the BMW Shanghai Training Center began construction in Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone. This is the second BMW Training Center in mainland China after the first established in Beijing. The establishment of BMW Shanghai Training Center is an important step for BMW to continue enhancing customer satisfaction in China.

Investment in BMW Shanghai Training Center about 100 million RMB
The BMW Shanghai Training Center is located at the No. 12 Land Parcel, Industry Innovation Center, North Area of Jiading Industrial Zone, Shanghai, and covers 10,000 square meters. The plan of the center was divided into two stages. BMW will invest about 100 million RMB in first stage which will cover 4,569 square meters and will start operation at the end of 2008. Once in operation, the Shanghai Training Center will significantly increase the training capacity of BMW China to 13,230 Man Days of technical training and 10,584 Man Days of non-technical training per year. Based on the curriculum at the BMW Beijing Training Center, the Shanghai Training Center has reserved place for body & paint training in connection with market demand, and has included "BMW Brand Academy" into its long-term plans.

BMW national training network shaping gradually
Since 1995, BMW Group has been providing market-oriented training in sales and service for mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. In 2006, the BMW China Training Academy, including the Beijing Training Center and 8 training bases, was established, and has provided non-technical training, qualification and technical training on aftersales for staff of BMW Brilliance, BMW China, and dealerships. Through comprehensive training courses, staff members are able to improve their working proficiency and customer care, and understand the BMW Group's latest products and technology. Under the support and cooperation of the Beijing Training Center, Shanghai Training Center and other training bases, BMW China will be able to achieve a training network covering the North, South, East and other parts of China.
