More Enriched Portfolio to Satisfy Customers' Individual Needs The BMW 5 Series Welcomes 4 More Variants - The new BMW 530Li Vantage and Prestige, the new BMW525Li Prestige, and the new BMW 523Li Vantage entered into the market today

(Beijing.) On March 17, 2008, BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. made an announcement to further enrich its portfolio by introducing 4 more variants of the new BMW 5 Li, including the new BMW 530Li vantage and prestige, the new BMW 525Li prestige and the new BMW 523Li vantage. The 4 variants are now available at the national BMW authorized dealerships. The market prices of the four variants are respectively RMB 646,600, RMB 608,600, RMB 563,600 and RMB 486,600.

Just within five months after the launch of the lifecycle impetus of the new BMW 5 Series Li, BMW Brilliance has introduced several variants. This fully expresses the company's strategy of being market-oriented and consistently satisfying customers' individual needs. By today, there are totally 8 variants with 3 different displacements of the new BMW 5 Series Li available.

The new BMW 5 Series Li – the most advanced premium business sedan

In 2007, the BMW Group achieved a new sales record in the Chinese mainland to which the BMW 5 Series Li contributed much. A total of 17,467 units of the BMW 5 Series Li were delivered to customers (prev. yr.: 10,982), representing an increase of 61%. At the same time when maintaining the excellent power, the BMW 5 Li embraces further lower fuel consumption. At the 2007 China Auto Green Technology Summit, the BMW 530Li took the first place in the 3.0L and above category with the average fuel consumption of less than 6.0l/100km and was crowned "the Most Environment-friendly Premium Business Sedan".

Besides keeping the prominent features of the previous models, including the classical in-line 6-cylinder magnesium-aluminum engine, lightweight body design and 50:50 front-rear weight distribution, the new BMW 530Li vantage and prestige, the new BMW 525Li prestige, and the new BMW 523Li vantage offer more choices to customers and enrich the portfolio of the BMW 5 Series Li.

In autumn 1972 when the Munich Olympic Games came to an end and the Four-Cylinder Tower of the BMW headquarters was built up, the first BMW 5 Series – the BMW 520 came into being in Munich. After more than 30 years' innovation, the fifth-generation BMW 5 Series was introduced into China in 2003 and produced by BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. In 2006, the BMW 5 Series Li, which was particularly designed and manufactured for the Chinese market was officially launched at the Beijing International Motor Show. With continuous efforts by BMW Brilliance in enriching the BMW 5 Series Li portfolio, more and more Chinese consumers have chosen the BMW 5 Series.
