Production management methods in global post-industrialization era: ISO9000, ISO14000 and OHSAS18001

Occupational health and safety management systems emerged as a modern safe production management method internationally in the late 1980s. This standard, together with ISO9000, ISO14000 and others, are known as production management methods in post-industrialization era.

In 1999, 13 organizations including BSI and DNV put together OHSAS standards, including OHSAS18001 occupational health and safety management systems standard and OHSAS18002 - OHSAS18001 manual. Many countries and international organizations have been participating in occupational health and safety management with a number of relevant research and campaigns and OHSAS18001 has become another internationally focused standard after ISO9000 and ISO14000.
