(Beijing.) Today, BMW China and BMW Brilliance officially launched an online claim voting contest for its Corporate Social Contribution programs. Throughout the collaboration with Sina.com, the BMW China CSR Claim on-line voting is collecting the excellent CSR claims from public and communities.
The BMW China CSR Claim on-line voting can be participated in through submitting entries and voting for them online. The contest will be divided into three stages:
- October 15th to November 14th – Anyone aged 18 or above with full civil capacity may submit their entries by logging into the event area at Sina.com.
- November 15th to 25th – A claim judge panel made up of social experts, senior management of BMW and senior editors at Sina.com will begin internal review of valid entries. 10 entries will be chosen to be voted on.
- November 26th to December 2nd – The public will vote on the claims chosen by the judge panel. The final winners will be announced in December 2007 at Sina.com and BMW's official website.
The BMW Corporate Social Responsibility claim should be concise, easy to remember, and represent the BMW Group's image as a good corporate citizen. The claim should include the five major aspects that BMW China focuses on. They are the Educational Support, Environmental Protection, Cultural Promotion, Customer Integration and Corporate Governance. The claim should also be suitable for international and cross-cultural communication.

To arouse more attention from public and communities on corporate social responsibility, BMW China and BWM Brilliance has prepared special awards for participants.
- There will be one Top Prize for the participant whose entry is finally put to use by BMW. The winner will be granted free use of a BMW 5 Series Li for a whole year. If there is none, the Top Prize will be given to the participant with the most votes.
- Participants with entries chosen by the panel and voted into the first five will be awarded a Winner's Prize – a BMW art car model (1:18) worth more than RMB 1000.
- Apart from that, during the entry submitting stage between October 15th and November 14th, the 20 participants with the most popular entries will be awarded a Special Popularity Prize – they will be invited to visit the BMW plant in Shenyang as special guests.
