Fesco Football Invitational Tournament - BMW: Champion of 2007

(Beijing) On September 1, BMW won the League A title at the "Red Bull Cup" corporate football invitational tournament held here by Beijing Foreign Enterprise Human Resources Service Co., Ltd.

A well-prepared BMW team presented a lineup of 24 players coming from BMW Brilliance and BMW China. Though participating for the first time, they did their very best and worked together to put up a very impressive performance, winning a favorable response from the spectators. As employees working for a foreign company, they had to make a big effort to find time out of their demanding full-time jobs to engage in training and competitions. The relevant divisions where they work also offered their full support. All these factors resulted in BMW getting into the finals by winning all of their matches and eventually taking the title with a score of 2:0.

During this tournament, BMW scored a total of 26 goals. Most notably, Chen Guisi, their No. 11, overachieved and excelled with 8 goals and, to everyone's delight, was awarded the golden ball prize.

What's more, the BMW team displayed spirit of teamwork, presented a lively corporate image, and in the process, built up their friendship with the teams form other companies.

The Fesco tournament has been held for three consecutive years. This year, 30 teams took part. Among them, one could find some of the more powerful competitors like BMW, NOKIA, China Unicom, DHL, Red Bull, TravelSky Technology Limited, Airbus, TNT International Carrier, Fesco, Volkswagen Finance (China) Co., LTD., Shuntaiwen, Siemens, TD Tech, LG CNS, SOHU and so on. Starting from June 30, the event lasted two months. To help the teams engage in more competitions and interaction, the organizer divided them into a "Super League" of 9 teams and a "League A" of 21 teams, based on past performances. The top two teams of this year's "League A" will be promoted to the "Super league" next year.
