(Shenyang, July 23rd, 2007) Following the handover of the second year BMW Excellent University Students Award 2007 at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in this May, BMW China and BMW Brilliance today officially kick off the Summer Internship Program for representatives of awarded students in Shenyang. From today on, a total of 10 awarded students from China's 10 key science & technology universities will start their 1-month internship at Shenyang Plant of BMW Brilliance.
For some time, BMW has not only rendered financial supports to innovative outstanding students, but also placed high value on cultivation of their practice ability. The first group of participants of the Summer Internship Program of BMW Excellent University Students Award Fund 2007 will start their 1-month internship at Shenyang Plant of BMW Brilliance. During this period, BMW Brilliance will cover all the necessary expenses of the interns, and, above all, will offer a valuable opportunity for them to learn and practice at the plant of the world's first class auto manufacturer.
During their internship, the 10 university students, including 8 boys and 2 girls, will have the opportunity to learn knowledge about the advanced management and operating systems of body shop, paint shop and logistics shop on site and experience personally the entire production process of BMW auto products at the general assembly shop by learning and working together with BMW Brilliance employees. In addition, they also have the opportunity to learn BMW's advanced experience in human resources management and have an in-depth understanding of BMW's corporate culture. They will also have chance for direct contacts with senior management of BMW Brilliance and share them with their aspirations and career goals.
The first group of participants of Summer Internship Program of BMW Excellent University Students Award Fund 2007 come from relevant departments of 10 well-established science & technology universities in China, such as the Department of Vehicle Engineering of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mechanical Engineering & Automation of Northeastern University, Mechanical Engineering & Manufacturing and Automation of Wuhan University, Applied Physics of Shanghai Jiaotong University, etc. Although some of their flights were delayed due to weather conditions, even with some of them arriving at Shenyang in late night, they have been always enthusiastic about this program.
