The unique program is designed as a systematic training course lasting 26 weeks. It is based on the “Dual System” vocational education concept from Germany including off-the-job trainings as well as on-the-job trainings on the production line. The “Dual System” concept alternates between off-the-job and on-the-job training to support the students’ learning in combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, helping apprentices to better understand and master the techniques required in the modern automotive industry.
During the 26 week program each apprentice has two assigned “buddies” from Manufacturing and Human Resources Department. The “buddies” are responsible for the contents of the apprentices’ training, practice arrangements and examinations but also give daily guidance to the students. After successfully passing the examinations and graduating from the course, the students will be awarded an “Apprenticeship Certification” by BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd.
